Lol Trump and the GOP always said he was too old and shouldn’t run, so he drops out and now they’re mad about it. The GOP is both infuriating and hilarious at the same time.

“BIDEN TOO OLD!! SLEEPY JOE! HUNTER’S LAPTOP! OLD! BIDEN OLD!”

Joe Biden: The American people have spoken, and I have elected to bow to their wishes and exit the presidential race.

“NOT LIKE THAT! BIDEN OLD! BIDEN COST MONEY! BIDEN OLD! PUT HIM BACK IN, ONLY OLDS NOW!”

HH was several years ago, and there is a difference between composing and approving. That tweet from OP would be about the most coherent string of words I’ve ever seen Trump put together.

Because that’s the one quiet part they don’t actually want to say out loud. It’s bad enough that even their brainwashed mob has started to think it over.

Alternatively if he had an actual platform to campaign on instead of shitting on Biden he wouldn’t be having an issue.

I mean, the republican advertising campaign doesn’t /have/ to smear campaign the democratic candidates. They could, you know, actually advertise what their side is bringing to the table.

That being said i feel the same way with the democratic party, it’s why I hate US politics, it’s always “vote for me because the other side is the antichrist” or some stupid thing, never focusing on what they are going to do, just what the other person might do.

How come Trump was allowed to spend four years proving that he wasn’t capable of being President on the taxpayers’ dime then?

Who exactly forced them to spend time and money fighting Crooked Joe Biden? Take it up with them.

      Exactly!

If he felt “forced” to fight Joe in order to win the election it indicates that he doesn’t see himself as a candidate worthy of winning on his own merit.

      He’s always the victim.

He spent so much effort attacking Joe Biden. Mostly because his entire campaign is centered around attacking Joe Biden, and not any real policies. Now that’s all in vain.

      He’s mostly thinking about himself.

That’s good for the democrats. They don’t need to change direction of their campaign while the republicans must change their entire campaign now.

It’s not good that the political climate has become like this, but the only way to defeat Trump is to get down to his level. If he’s not offering any real politics then why should the dems?

If that isn’t a complete non sequitur then surely it argues in the other direction. Voters deserve to be treated with respect. The fact that Trump is disrespectful doesn’t excuse anyone else from actually doing the job.

Okay, I did some stretches and I feel warmed up.

My biggest complaint is that the answer to the question “So, we are forced to spend time and money on fighting crooked Joe Biden?” is “no”.

He wasn’t forced to fight Joe Biden. Instead of attacking Joe he could’ve focused on extolling his own virtues.

I feel like reacting this way indicates that he doesn’t see himself as a candidate worthy of winning the election on his own merit.

Or their campaign finances are so tight fighting legal battles they can’t afford to pivot.

Yeah, but if the campaign was based on the belief that “Trump is the best candidate regardless of who he’s running against” there would never be a need to pivot based on the opponent changing.

Which to me indicates Trump was viewing his 2024 campaign as a grudge match between himself and Biden as opposed to viewing it as a campaign to be elected president of the United States of America.

Like, where’s the strength of conviction? The guy is flailing and it’s embarrassing.

His campaign is a desperate attempt to get back that sweet sweet presidential immunity, plus all the perks he’ll get selling out the country for pennies on the dollar.

This just came to me - you now need to run for president.

400m lap before any presidential debate, speech or campaign announcements. If you do it in more than the country average you can’t respond and first back can start.

Disabled candidates can follow paralympics rules.
