This tactic implies that Trump voters ever gave half a shit about age in the first place. They attacked biden’s age because it was low hanging fruit. No risk, high reward. Nice easy way to say they’re “holding their noses and voting for Trump”, even though that was the plan all along, because Biden’s age gave them a convenient excuse to justify their choice without exposing themselves as bigots.
It was a convenient excuse but it was never a good one. It’s like they’re unaware that Trump and Biden are basically the same age.
