The UCLA Police Department interviewed witnesses and victims in connection to the violence that erupted at the encampment, reviewed security camera footage of the masked man and later identified him as On. Pro-Israeli counterprotesters armed with fireworks, gas irritants, and blunt objects violently attacked students and faculty in the encampment for hours as private security guards and campus police watched from a distance.

But the DA is saying it just happened organically…

Gascón goes on to say that there is “no evidence to suggest that Mr. On was working in collaboration with any other individuals, and our investigation found no proof of conspiracy or any organized effort by Mr. On related to the incident.”

It was just a coincidence the attackers all dressed the same, and wore the same white masks totally a coincidence. /s

Instead, the Los Angeles district attorney’s office announced that after reviewing the evidence against 18-year-old Edan On, the case was referred to the city attorney’s office for a possible misdemeanor filing.

On was identified as a counterprotester at an April 30 pro-Palestinian demonstration at the UCLA campus. In widely shared videos, a masked man in a white hoodie can be seen repeatedly striking protesters with a pole. Law enforcement sources identified the man as On and video of his actions were first aired by CNN.

To determine the true rulers of any society, all you must do is ask yourself this question: Who is it that I am not permitted to criticize?

      Kevin Strom, 1993

It’s best not to (mis)quote Neo Nazis in general, especially so when you’re discussing Jews.

It’s not helpful discourse, provides cover for and platforms conspiracies, and gives the Zionists free ammo to point at any criticism as ‘antisemitism’ when these phrases are parroted. “Jews rule the world” is about as tired as it comes, and doesn’t do anything to help Palestinians

It’s a saying, I was not aware of the Nazi origins, nor trying to quote it as such. That’s why I didn’t attribute it to anyone.

Not intentional but if the shoe fits. They’re so deep in it they can’t see the forest through the trees

If I wound up quoting hate speech from a convicted white supremacist, I’d backpedal SO HARD immediately. I’ve dropped multiple symbols and sayings that got co-opted by bigots, I’d advise you to not echo a super harmful anti-Semitic trope, regardless if it’s attributed or not.

Right now is a perfect time to delete that comment.

The saying fits the situation. Just because it was requoted by a neo nazi doesn’t mean much. When I look it up it is attributed to Voltaire.

You must be a major coward.

            Take your own advice.
