I was banned from .ml for fighting back against a user that made an homophobic comment. How do I get all my content from .ml deleted?

Are you trying to import content? I don’t think there’s a way to do that. There might be a way to mass download content posted by a user but I feel like that’s probably it. I don’t even know if there is a tool for doing what I mentioned for Lemmy.

good luck convincing communists to give back what is not theirs 😂

but really, lemmy is not good for this. your comment exists in multiple physical copies on every instance from which someone interacted with the thread. it is prime example of once it is out there, it is out there forever…

My main concern is that some users would try to track me and harass me on other platforms. I had no clue what .lm was when I joined and honestly, most interactions I had were positive but I didn’t talked politics much.

But I had the bad idea to say I like South Park on a hexbear post a few months ago (again not really knowing about that specific instance) and that led to a user identifying me and harassing me on an other social media. For real lol. Pretty sure this wont happened this time but I would definitely feel more secured if I could delete all my posts and comments.

If you’re from the EU you can file a GDPR request to the site’s admin; otherwise consult your laws for how you can do a data deletion request for best chance of success.

Note that even if your posts/comments are deleted, some admins might refuse to delete the User ID assigned to your old account to prevent improper federation between instances. (If someone else takes that account, it could create problems there)
