Justice Samuel Chase was the only impeachment in Supreme Court history. He was acquitted by the Senate in 1805, and served until his death. https://www.senate.gov/about/powers-procedures/impeachment/impeachment-chase.htm With the potential for many abstentions in the November election, and 33 Senate seats on the ballot, it’s possible for Republicans to take control of Congress. That would essentially ensure immunity for SCOTUS.
