The headline implies Harris has a plan to to tax unrealized capital gains, and then states this:

learning that Kamala Harris has tacitly endorsed a tax on unrealized capital gains. Lots of what was shared was inaccurate.

That’s simply a bullshit article on a false premise, with a misleading headline.

As far as I understood the article, it is taxing unrealised capital gains, but you have to be very rich and have a substantial portion of your wealth in unrealised capital gains. It feels targeted as people like Elon Musk.

            tacitly

            https://dictionary.cambridge.org/dictionary/english/tacitly

            without expressing something directly:

So did she or didn’t she express this opinion?

I’d say such a tax would be illegal, and Harris is a lawyer, so she very well know that.
Here (Denmark) We actually have such a tax, but it’s voluntary, and it’s a lower rate than the normal tax.

So in short, I’m skeptical to a degree of almost certain, that Harris will not do what is stated in the headline.

Silicon Valley was burning up the socials this week, after learning that Kamala Harris has tacitly endorsed a tax on unrealized capital gains. Lots of what was shared was inaccurate.

What they meant by that was that people sharing the tax plan were posting inaccurate information on social media.
