    Kinda the same in the US. I’m literally a circus performer, it’s a neverending struggle against capitalism.

    Right now they’re trying to get approval to build a casino on Coney Island. The company (Thor Equities) bought two historical blocks right on the heart of Surf Avenue and let the buildings rot until they had to be demolished for safety reasons. Now they’re trying to take over the last one, which houses the theater, a museum, bumper cars, and a small music venue. It’s also home to the nonprofit that hosts all the cool events there. None of it matters to capitalists.

      You know what capitalists hate more than anything else? Weird circus people with more passion than money who embrace diversity and deviants
