  • Have you read Trump’s plan for his next turn? The fucker wants to go through with hefty important taxes on EVERYTHING (that’s essentially putting sanctions on the US lol). Cheap groceries aren’t a good prediction for a Trump term. I’d suggest listening to what he’s saying. There’s more that makes me think that cheap things aren’t around the corner, the fucker has many things he wants to spend for, without any plans for increasing the budget.

  • I agree that it is heartbreaking that the democrats keep pushing candidates no one wants. But no amount of incompetence is a reason to give fascism a try. I don’t live in America, but considering they run this joint, I’d hate for it to become a shitier Russia.

Biden is definitely not fit to do anything him self, but he’s surrounded by good advisers and he actually fucking listens to them. Under his term not nearly as many horrific things happened as under trump. Trump’s an immediate menace to the world order as we know it. I find it really ironic how he claims to be pro American, but actively destroys the reasons people look up to America and let it have so much influence in the first place.

  • Nothing generates more than nuclear (like it’s not even comparable), it has basically zero emissions and there are countries like Finland who’ll happily let you burry it there, tho you ofc don’t need to go that far away. You don’t need to dispose it nearly as often as coal ash, so it being in another country ain’t really that big of a deal.

Ofc solar is also a great option, because of the versatility, sadly German seems to really fucking love wind.

  • Looks like I’m a bit behind on the latest news, I mean in 2015 it (basically) alone was still half of their energy production. That’s quite the explosion, too bad it’s largely wind power and…biomass??? Right it’s “renewable©® (in theory)”, not “sustainable right now or benefitial to the current situation”. Same to the natural gass growth, guess it’s better than coal, but come on… And to my original point, in your graph we can see a negative corelation between coal+lignite over nuclear at a few ranges (when they shut down nuclear over fucking coal), roughly starting after 2005. Also wow, they actually fucking killed nuclear last year… JESUS…

  • I honestly don’t get it. Recently read a manga and they ACTUALLY WORE THEIR BLOODY HELMETS DURING BATTLE! It was glorious! Occasional a stray bullet destroys the helmet sadly…but for a large chunk of it all, they actually fucking wear them! You could still tell who is who by body proportions, dialog and context so that wasn’t really an issue. Also it’s hella dramatic to take off the helmet after battle or when trying to negotiate with someone. It just makes soo much more sense!

  • We have a wonderful road here in Prague. Goes somewhat sharply up hill with a speed limit of 70km/h (43.5mi/h), there’s legit nothing along the road and both ends are just junctions. And suddenly, out of nowhere, barely even a bike lane. I presume I don’t need to explain that nobody ever bikes here?

Sadly never had the opportunity to take a picture (not like I can just stop there), so here’s one from street view, it’s hard to see, but there are cyclist markings.

  • I found out I needed glass when I tried my friend’s glasses for fun and saw better with them. Twas very depressing actually, realizing I’ve seen stuff wrong for so many years. Things is I only have -1, so it’s not bad enough to significantly affect daily life, tho it is significant enough in how I experience views. Now when I travel I always have a pair with me for whenever I truly want to enjoy the sight of something. Otherwise I avoid my glasses like the plague.

At my place meat rarely goes for above 50% or even 30% discounts. And even then, 500g of meat usually costs me in the 150czk range, with 50% off that’s still a solid 75czk, meanwhile my soy strip bag costs up yo 30czk max. Like I wish we had 90% discounts on meat lol xD

As for veggies, some like potatoes, carrots and lettuce are dirt cheap already and you’re not putting the whole thing into a single dish. Shit is like rice, the 5kg bag is almost cheaper than meat, and it’ll last for MANY dishes.

I’m not really a brands guy, I just try to grab whatever is cheapest at any store I’m at (within reason, bought shampoo once that was basically just water, never again). Also I live in Czechia, I’m assuming we might not have the same stores and brands available. Tho anyways, soy strips/chunks are a pretty basic ingredient, so I’d assume just about any should be fine, and for nuts, over here we quite often have nut mixes, sometimes even salted or otherwise spiced, tasty stuff for snacking :) For cooking purposes, again, very basic ingredient, just about any will do. There are many Asian and even western recipes that make wonders out of peanuts for example, not to mention countless desserts, but that’s probably not what we’re going for xD
