And instead of being accused of robbing, their legal team will get charges lowered and the company will just change its name and start over. As the son of a former abusive asshole myself, there’s truth in it. A large percentage of people will accept abuse for close to a decade, but usually they inevitably snap and try getting away from the abuse. It just requires constant small losses to realize, and you can’t let them rot alone. Otherwise they fall even deeper into a cult-like thinking. Maybe it should be seen a little akin addiction, they need to remember there’s a small way to get back to how things were before.

Meanwhile, my long disabled cousin just started receiving SSI after 2 years of them dragging their feet. 2 months in, he now has them again, requesting pension forms, paystubs for work, unemployment compensation forms and life insurance policies. All things he already reported he never had due to his disability. It’s like they’ve suddenly believed things changed in that time window. The whole system seems to be broken, which might be intentional.

It’s like fundraising, if you have to ask if they fulfill their promises, you should know it won’t be long before you hear they didn’t. Besides, this sounds like a con from the way they describe it. So yeah, that’s gonna be a no from me, dawg.
