I’m in a red area and most of the pushback I hear is about equity. They’re all for equality/equal opportunities but don’t support guaranteeing equal outcomes. Whatever that means. I’m just trying to answer your question from the end of your comment because I’ve heard people say that.

It’s like people think FOSS means considerate. It means it’s the wild west, with a few zealous moderators who care way more about respecting femboys than women.

I don’t care if you’re gay one way or the other,but if there’s a free urinal not next to me but you pick the one next to me I’m 100% walking away, regardless of if I’m done or not. I’ve done that many times.

Yeah I’m a white dude and back when I had long hair and didn’t understand civil rights I got illegally detained dozens of times. Profiling is real, and obviously POC understand this. But also, police have no respect for the constitution or actual rule of law and civil rights. Most of my worst experiences were from police forces in cities mostly ran by authoritarian neolibs.

Unfortunately there’s almost nothing left once you’ve blocked all that. I’m close to leaving. No one will miss me, whatever. Occasionally I have a nice interaction though.

Remember how the federal government treated the south when they tried to secede. And people still celebrate it, not without good reason. But they didn’t just go to war to stop it, they burned the south to the ground.
