+1 for this comment. I got Stremio setup yesterday based on your post and the recommended add-ons, and it was insanely simple. I was able to get it all setup on my Samsung TV in like ~15 minutes.

Microsoft has become a weird one. On the side of things like GitHub and VSCode, they’ve done really well and have fostered amazing tools. I have friends that work on the developer side of things there and love it. But then you look at Windows and it’s a damn abomination. It’s easily one of the most anti-consumer pieces of software in existence.

Bazzite looks like it’s way more customizable and expanded. I might actually dual boot it out of curiosity.

I just installed Nobara on my gaming laptop. The benefits are preconfigured settings, and apps like Steam and Lutris come preinstalled. These distros are a convenience over trying to trudge through all of that stuff yourself. I was able to get things up and running quickly because someone was nice enough to trudge through that stuff themselves.

I just installed Nobara today so I could finally rid myself of Windows hell and it’s been amazing.

There have been a few times in my life where I pirated a game or album, and ended up liking them so much I legitimately purchased them.

I thought I was reading my own report cards for a second lmao. I got help in the 90s but it didn’t do much for me. None of the meds they tried helped at all. I basically just had to try and learn habits for keeping notes/journals (off and on for years, even today in my early 40s) and other things to try and keep me engaged.

Or the technical challenge being ridiculous like a lot of them are. If you have that many people failing it, that tells me some or all of these things are true:

1. Management, or whoever they hire for handling candidates, is not screening them well
2. The challenge is needlessly complex
3. The challenge requirements are not clear
4. The company expects absolute prod-ready perfection but told the candidates “don’t spend more than 2-3 hours on this,” despite it taking one of their own engineers 6-8 hours
5. The salary is way too low and they’re not getting candidates that fit their demands (e.g. wanting “senior” while offering “junior” salaries)

Seriously, some tech companies think they shit gold and give ridiculous challenges that reflect that delusion.
