These eyes are one of those shots that look so good you might think it’s fake. Like that colour and clarity!

Now that’s one way to win peek-a-boo
Look at that stellar use of eyeliner. The most fabulous owl that sauntered across my feed.
Oh I’m totally not blaming the crows. Survival and all. But they also hold grudges and are smart. They even harass humans if they have a grudge. Or if you can befriend them there are cool things that can happen too.
Basically they’re human enough that I can like and hate them like I do humans.
I’m always torn about crows. On one hand they’re one of the few species that are so intelligent they could be sentient and sapient. On the other hand they are such complete assholes sometimes.
I hope the owl managed to escape the bullies.
That is a grumpy owl that knows the outside sucks and life is better in that dark hole.
We are blessed this fine day.
Now that’s an owl that needs a top hat and waistcoat to complete a most dapper look. He already has the gaze down. Give him a little walking cane too.
She obviously just needed a feather for her quill and was pondering what to write.
Good stuff as always.
It’s the eye of the owl
It’s the thrill of the flight
This kind of reminds me of an article I read about an exotic animal ranch that specialised in faking photos for wild life shoots or films and I’m not for it.
I’ll rather I never see the animals than how disruptive we are being to them in their habitats or faking shots for the camera. I know a good wildlife photographer means lots of wasted time trying to get good shots and helps to raise awareness but I think animals should be left alone as much as possible rather than danced in front of us like a circus.
Typical. Get so excited about something new then realise it’s so not worth it after all the anticipation. Nice shot though.
