"In recent days, dozens of Democrats in crucial House and Senate contests have finally gotten back post-Biden polling, and it shows the Vice President Kamala Harris effect is, indeed, real. Senate Democratic incumbents have been ahead in almost every single publicly released poll except in the red state of Montana. One Democratic group testing presidential numbers in competitive House districts rarely saw data that showed Biden above 50 percent; Harris is clearing that threshold and sometimes well above it.”

This is like I’ve been saying…people want to vote against trump…but you gotta give them a viable option. 2016 was lost because nobody likes Hillary. 2020 they didn’t vote FOR Biden, they voted against trump.

But now, in 2024, look…Biden is a good man. I like Biden. He has empathy, he has character, he’s supporting Ukraine…but I feel like he doesn’t know where he is half the time. You do NOT put the nuke launch codes on someone who isn’t sure what day it is, or if they’re going to get breakfast or dinner soon. I hope he lives his days, happy and well cared for. Just not in the white house. I mean sure, he’s free to visit. He’s not banned from stopping by, and taking some photos for people or whatever. But we DESPRATELY needed a nominee who understands what is going on around them…and not talking about defeating medicare.

Now we have a candidate that understands what she’s doing. So far she’'s likeable. As long as she doesn’t do anything stupid, I favor her to win the thing.

or if they’re going to get breakfast or dinner soon.

To be fair, a lot of us don’t. The economy is rough these days.

I’m convinced one of the reasons McDonald’s is going down the shitter is because they got rid of all day breakfast.

Not the only reason. But it’s definitely a major contributor.

It was a nexus point for them. Like how we can mark major shifts into bad stuff happening. Reagan, Harambe, etc.

Biden isn’t a good man, dude wrote the RAVE Act and openly supported the 90s “crime” bills. He’s a piece of shit like 99% of democratic incumbents.

That stuff is terrible, we know from the last election.

He did a has done lot of crappy stuff, but somehow he turned out to be better than trump, which is what most people voted for.

Perfect shouldn’t be the enemy of good, and I wonder what 2024 would be like with the last guy in charge the last 4 years.

You won’t ever get what you want if you find little faults in everything and everyone. Yes Biden has written bad bills, helped pass many, and even made decisions this term that many progressives including myself don’t favour.

However, he has this term on the whole been an ally for progressives in ways that no President in the last 40 years has. We can do better and I am hopeful we will extend that progress with a President Harris and a potential national trifecta, but defeatist attitudes will get us nowhere.
