  • There are a number of reasons. First and foremost though I just want to address a common misconception that Findom(me) =/= Prodom(me):

    • Prodomme is what you would consider a stereotypical dungeon dominatrix. You are paying a professional for use of their time, space, and knowledge for bdsm services.

    • Findom is short for Financial Domination. It involves a relationship where a submissive(almost exclusively male) gives money to a dominant(almost exclusively female) and generally involves elements of humiliation of some form for the act.

It’s frowned upon because it’s extremely exploitative and violates a lot of mutual respect tenets of BDSM play. Typically it’s used as an easy guise which is low hanging fruit for lazy sex workers and scammers trying to make a quick buck and can easily get out of hand quickly for a site that leaves it unchecked. It exists in the same vein as Sugar Daddy/Sugar Baby play, but without even pretending to have a relationship beyond financial gain.

  • Eh, I’m sure they’re better than you think. The rope cupping your breasts looked a bit loose so that may have been contributing to things traveling a bit more than you would have liked. Still better than anything I could do with my stupid asymmetrical shoulders 😁

Yeah, I agree that it does have that spark of a feeling of early Reddit days, but it’s also inherited a bunch of the problems with new Reddit. Mostly just that everything needs to be highly politicized or posted just to be outrage porn. I will say that the people here are definitely more genuine, passionate and interesting. I’ve got my reservations about the long-term health of NSFW here though, but that’s an entirely different discussion.

  • I’m not going to complain about someone actually posting content.

Maybe you won’t, but the Lemmy community has shown time and time again over the past year that it will take every opportunity to say shitty things about someone who posts content that doesn’t rival OF and model content quality and body standards.

I have nothing against sex work, but the reality is that it actively attempts to muscle out exhibitionism enthusiasts and amateur content and it is difficult for them to exist in the same space. In the end, the person who is financially and incentivized is always going to win out over the ones doing it for fun because it stops being fun pretty quickly.
