Now the same people have moved to AI. Companies love it mainly because they can steal work, summarise it a bit, and profit. Some things were literally tracked down to specific web pages as the source

It’s actually the opposite. People are free to discuss on other servers, and I realize that lots of the thing that person was saying, was actually bad for discussions except in a way that benefits them directly (even disregarding other people in their minority).

If Trump went to court for every crime he committed, he would have no time to campaign. In fact, with lawsuits they likely have to compress them and limit the contents to the worst offenders to facilitate their processing time.

Walz in particular is ex military and I seriously doubt he is pro war either. There might be stuff happening in the background again we don’t know about (Trump will brag in public about every single thing he does, but sometimes negotiations require the opposite). It’s similar to criminal investigations which take a long time

We should be careful to avoid creating communities that are echo chambers. Ie, it should be a community discussing veganism, not a vegan safe space where people abuse you if you disagree

I left beehaw because I half agreed with the community, someone in a “safe space” abused me, and a beehaw admin overlooked that abuse and instead insisted I was starting a flight (simply because I didn’t 100% agree with the community it seemed)

We also risk scenarios where vaping or drug communities could grow and become toxic in the same way. We also should be as scientific as possible and avoid becoming Facebook.

Sorry, but some guy threatened another driver with a pipe in front of 10 cars in front of my house, and I was the only one to step in and I’m the only reason the situation didn’t escalate. And the only reason I can think of why I did so, is that I don’t have much to lose in practice.

It’s scary to intervene and despite your pandering, I suspect you’ve never been in a situation where you have to choose to put your life in danger (I’ve also done mountaineering/glacier travel and got a pilot licence which really opened my eyes up too).

It’s easy for you to disrespect her gracefully and talk crap when you’ve never been in a dangerous situation where you can choose to make a difference that might screw you permanently.

There are a million things that will run through your mind when you yourself are (ie, you will likely be advised by people that you could be in danger, etc). When the situation is outside of your control, you think differently.

You might disagree with her, but she has every right to protect herself. And she has every right to make that decision.

If I was in the same situation and my family was in danger, I’d make the same decision too

If he wants geniuses, maybe he should look at university professors (who likely all hate him)… Maybe he should start by not giving them reasons to hate him (like maybe do something to stop shootings at Schools and universities?)
