The judgment from the mods should be enough for you. Their judgment very clearly makes it evident that they didn’t remove it because it broke rules or wasn’t a shitpost, but because people were spamming them.

Provocative : causing annoyance, anger, or another strong reaction, especially deliberately.
Inflammatory : deliberately arousing or intended to arouse angry or violent feelings.(Oxford)
Provocative in the context of shitpost essentially means deliberately causing a strong reaction usually via exaggeration for comedic effect.
While Inflammatory just means to deliberately insight violence.Another shitpost for example :

That definition is not a good definition. A shitpost should be somewhat funny, not just purely garbage. For example if you post porn off topic, thats not a shitpost, thats just porn.

That’s the Oxford definition the Wikipedia has a better definition.
