I’m directly affected by Trump, but I think the decline started decades ago. We’re just at the hoverbike stage now.
The decline started in the late 70s. Like 80% of everything wrong in US politics can be traced back to Reagan.
I think history books are meant to be the reference for later. And I think it’s two separate jobs to report something that’s currently happening. And analyzing it with hindsight and judging the impact and importance of the events. That’s kind of impossible while we don’t know the consequences yet.
Oh, just wait a little bit longer. Executive orders requiring the modification of recorded history is not far away.

So make sure you use a VPN in a friendly foreign country, do not re-use your username anywhere else, and do not post any info about yourself using the same account or IP address.
