Do teslas run android, or something else? Elon encouraging the use of Linux isn’t surprising, but if his vehicles and sattelites we’rent also using Linux, I’d be more surprised.

      Huh, they actually do:

And Matt Monson — who moved from the Dragon project to SpaceX’s satellite internet service Starlink — posted that Starlink uses a lot of application-specific integrated circuits (ASICs), and that they too have a lot of experience with Linux. “For some level of scope on Starlink, each launch of 60 satellites contains more than 4,000 Linux computers. The constellation has more than 30,000 Linux nodes (and more than 6,000 microcontrollers) in space right now.

If he gets his companies to move to some homebrew, kludgey version of linux and names it dumb shit like futureOS, XOS, or linux 2, im going to tattoo my eyeballs

Have fun with that, I’m sure it’ll be fine. If he does it’ll most likely be dead in the water. His fanboys wouldn’t give up their MacBooks to run a Linux operating system anyway, they’re all about being coddled and told what to like.

No this dipshit just says whatever he thinks is going to be the most popular with the tech bros he is desperate to be in front of.

It’s an expression. In this context Elon is the broken clock and saying desktops should run Linux is one of the rare times he’s been right about something.

rare times he’s been right about something.

Started a space company, and an EV company. Both longshots, both wildly successful.

Bought Twitter. Laid of 80% of the employees. Still runs totally fine.

Your position is nakedly indefensible. I’d be curious what you think he’s actually wrong about.

I like Elon musk (bring me your down votes). He may be billionaire or drag queen or whatever but he does what he wants even beyond loosing everything, he doesn’t give a fuck . Somehow he is authentic. Other billionaires are like rats fearing not loosing a single penny . Electric cars? I love them. Rockets , I played with them when I was kid. A shitty truck ? Yeah I will do it. Buying shit twitter and make my own, yeah why not. I know there are people and countries that are struggling to get food and this guy is doing that, but considering the shitload of extreme and irrational capitalism, have to highlight at least this.

All the childish stuff he does aside, if that wasn’t enough, my problem with him is that he’s actively promoting fascist and undermining the working class.

This mother fucker has all the money in the world and he’s not content to do the kid dream stuff you describe, he’s actively helping fascist spread misinformation and is actively fighting against good wages and conditions for the working class.

So yea, fuck Elon and pretty much all of the rest of the billionaires.

so a regular analog clock. which is why the saying is actually “twice a day” not “once”.

I still maintain the correct version if the saying is a “stopped” clock. A clock can be broken in other ways that make it almost never right.

Also I’m not sure analog clocks should be considered “regular” at this point. If seems like they’re mostly decorative items now, and most actual timekeeping is done with clocks in phones and computers.

i said regular as a qualifier because i was expecting someone to point out niche clocks like a 24-hour one or whatever. plus if we’re talking digital clocks the saying falls apart anyway because most of them would just not show anything rather than getting stuck on one time.
